grands-photoWhen Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on the campus of Howard University in 1920, our Founders had an amazing vision. They envisioned a group of women who were proud to exemplify high standards in academic pursuits. They believed that this group of women would nurture and protect our communities through service initiatives. They formed strong bonds of sisterly love with each other and other women to effectuate their vision. And, they held firm to the ideal of being finer women.

Almost 100 years later, we embark upon a journey to celebrate the continued commitment to the ideals established through their vision. We are chartering global chapters to strengthen their legacy. We are aligned as Zetas, Helping Other People Excel. We are building pipelines of young women who are embracing the ideals through our youth affiliate programs. We are engaged in our communities at the forefront of the issues that greatly impact our families and friends. Yet, we know that there is still much work to accomplish in our global communities as we embark upon our journey to a celebration in 2020 of 100 years of being a community-conscious, action-oriented organization.

As we honor the powerful legacy of our Founders, let us reaffirm our commitment to our principles; let us acknowledge the strong and unbreakable bond with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Let us deepen our friendship with the Amicae. Let us renew our mentoring and guidance of young people across the globe. This is also the time for us to establish new partnerships and exhibit to the world our execution of programs and resources that matter.

I invite ALL Sorors to join our Journey to Centennial. Participate in the initiatives that will continue to blaze new paths of service, scholarship and sisterhood, as we set forth a vision to “Be Finer in 2020!”

2020 is our time Sorors. Our time to share and enhance the legacy that was envisioned nearly 100 years ago. I look forward to spending time with you on our Journey to Centennial!

With Sisterly Love,
