Anthology and Year In Review

Sisterhood, a founding principle of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is the theme of the 2018 Anthology. The Centennial Commission is pleased to announce “The 2018 Year of Sisterhood Anthology and Year In Review”. Become a published author and share your journey in this historical compilation of the journey to Centennial.

Deadline for all submissions is October 31, 2018.

Ideas for submissions include, but are not limited to:

  • Centennial Legacy Sculpture Submission (Must have purchased the Centennial Metal Legacy Sculpture; Article must relate specifically to your legacy related to the sculpture; Entries in this category will be eligible to win an Undergraduate to attend Centennial.)
  • A Legacy of Sisterhood: Our Doves (Members with 50+ years of service)
  • 2018 Sisterhood Circle Stories and Photos – Sisters by Blood… Sorors by Choice (Stories about blood sisters and photos)
  • Zetas for Life (Intake lines and groups – experiences; Reunions; Service Year Pin Stories)
  • Phenomenal Women: My Sister… My Soror… My Friend (Stories by Sigmas dedicated to Zetas)
  • 2018 Year of Sisterhood (Non-sisterhood tea stories from Regions, States and Chapters; Note that Sisterhood Tea events and honorees should be submitted here)
  • Women United: Our Colors (Stories of Zeta and Members of other NPHC Sororities)
  • Sisters and Friends: Amicae Stories with Zetas
  • From Girls to Pearls (Youth Affiliate Groups – Teas, Debutante Balls, Oratorical Contests, Pearls in the Wild, etc.)
  • 2018 Founders’ Society Donors Statement as to why you became a Founders’ Society Donor and Photo

Submission Guidelines

    • All entries must be submitted only by using the form below.
    • Form used for all service submissions (see below).
    • The author’s name and contact information should appear on the top left side of each page.
    • On the top right side, begin page numbers. All pages should be numbered.
    • Each submission must have its own original title.
    • The submission’s title, in caps, should be centered.

    • Photographs should be submitted separately from the text.
    • Use high resolution photos at least 1MB in size and in .jpeg format. Prefer 300 DPI quality.
    • Up to five photographs per submission will be included.
    • Label each photograph with your name, chapter or auxiliary.
    • Each photograph should have a caption and those photographed should be identified.
    • Send photo release with each photo.
    • Limit of five (5) from each person (action shots preferred instead of poses)
    • Camera quality photo preferred as to cell phone to ensure print quality.
    • Do not submit photograph inside/or attached to the documents. Photographs must be a separate document. (Photographs may be included in the same email, but a separate document).
    • Permissions must be filed for previously published submissions.
    • All authors are responsible for obtaining and filing all applicable permissions for quotations, excerpts or poems, not in the public domain or attributed to or copyrighted by another author or published elsewhere that are used in your submission.
    • Up to two (2) submissions will be accepted from any one author.
    • All submissions will be edited for subject, grammar, length, spelling and syntax.
