I coordinated with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) from the Southern District of New York (SDNY), assisting in the forfeiture of seized proceeds from a huge illegal gambling enforcement operation conducted by Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE). As a result, over $500,000.00 in U.S. currency was seized by HSI by means of seizure and arrest warrants, with all currency forwarded to Seized Property for deposit. Due to the size of this seizure operation, over 130 violators had currency seized by HSI for illegal gambling. I coordinated efforts and ensured that the deposit of all seized currency occurred flawlessly, working in conjunction with our Seized Property Division.

Producer/Writer

Professional Firsts

The first African-American female hired as an adjunct film professor by both Syracuse University, LA and New York University, L.A. I am the first film professor with a doctorate on the production side of film education. I was part of the first Writer/Story Editor team for Tyler Perry Studios to ever help write more than 100 episode outlines/break stories/write scripts as part of the writing team for a half-hour television series in one consecutive season in TV history. This style of writer/producing changed the way many half-hours are written and produced -- with 50 or more episodes written by one writers room at one time over a few months that will air in years to come, as opposed to one year of episodes for one year. This process changed the entertainment industry. A member of the House of Payne writing team that debuted with the highest ratings in TBS history. I was the first doctoral student in Pepperdine's Organizational Leadership program to get published in a peer-reviewed magazine during the first semester of the program. I was the first graduate student at Cal State University, Northridge Screenwriting Program to win all of the writing scholarships and the first to sell a screenplay while still in school. Finally, I was the first African-American female from Washington State to be honored with a Self-E by the U.S. Librarians Association for my historical fiction novel, Eighth Wonder: The Thomas Bethune Story, about a slave born blind and feeble who began playing Mozart at 3 who went on to play before the crowned heads of Europe and President Buchanan.
